There is one important catch: when we checked the official Google Play URL on August 2, 2026, the page still showed the app’s details but did not show an Install button. Do not download a random file simply because a mirror calls it the latest official version.
The verified listing identifies the app as SCO Mobile, the publisher as SCO HQ and the Android package as com.sco.app. That package name matters because Google Play also contains unrelated apps with similar SCOM names.

The listing’s last update date is not proof that every file labelled version 2.0.1 is genuine. A SCOM APK file can keep the same visible app name and package while being re-signed or altered. APKWala does not host an unverified copy.

What we verified
We checked the Google Play listing, SCO’s main website, its Customer Care Portal, current prepaid-package page and official contact page on August 2, 2026. Google Play showed the app identity and history, but no Install control appeared in the public page we reviewed. Availability can still differ by Google account, country, device and Play Store session.
We did not sign into a private SCOM account, activate a bundle or inspect an APK file from a mirror. The steps below use SCO’s public services and support information. They do not pretend that we reproduced every login or network error on a handset in AJK or GB.
How to download SCOM APK safely
First open the official Google Play URL above. If an Install button appears, check these details before tapping it:
- The app name is SCO Mobile.
- The publisher is SCO HQ.
- The address contains
id=com.sco.app. - The support website uses the
sco.gov.pkdomain. - Android does not warn that another signature is already installed.
If Google Play shows no Install button, stop there. Do not search for “SCOM mod APK,” “unlimited balance” or a patched login build. A telecom app cannot generate valid mobile balance or free data by changing local code. Such files can read messages, steal OTPs or add an unwanted accessibility service.
Use the official SCO Customer Care Portal for mobile top-up, postpaid payment, MiFi recharge, landline payment, DSL payment, S-Fiber payment, scratch cards and order tracking. It works in a browser and does not require sideloading an old app.
What did SCO Mobile offer?
The archived Google Play description is broad rather than a detailed feature list. It says SCO Mobile supported SCO services for customers in AJ&K and GB. Older screenshots and third-party summaries may show functions that have since moved, changed or stopped working.
For current tasks, treat SCO’s live website as the source of truth:
- View current prepaid and postpaid offers on the SCO website.
- Use the Customer Care Portal for top-ups and payments.
- Contact SCO when account-specific balance or login information is unavailable.
- Confirm prices and validity immediately before subscribing.
Package prices can change. A screenshot in an old app or blog post should not override the current terms shown by SCO.
SCOM balance check without the app
If SCO Mobile is unavailable, check the SIM toolkit, USSD options shown with your SCOM service or the account tools supplied by SCO. Codes can change and may differ by prepaid, postpaid or service type, so avoid copying an unsourced code from a years-old video.
For a reliable answer, call 355 from a SCOM number. SCO’s official contact page describes it as a 24-hour helpline. You can also visit an SCO customer service centre or franchise. Keep the SIM number and account information ready, but never tell anyone an OTP or PIN.
If the balance appears wrong after a recharge:
- Save the recharge receipt or transaction reference.
- Restart the phone and reconnect to the SCOM network.
- Check whether a package renewal used part of the balance.
- Do not repeat the same payment immediately.
- Contact 355 with the number, amount, time and reference.

How to check current SCOM packages
The safest package list is SCO’s official prepaid packages page. It separates all-in-one, monthly, weekly, data, voice and SMS offers. Read the price, included SCOM minutes, off-net minutes, data, night-time allowance and validity before activation.
This detail matters in AJK and GB because two offers with similar names may have different data windows or validity. A large number such as “200 GB” is not useful until you know whether it is daytime data, night data or a combined allowance.
Before subscribing:
- Confirm the offer is prepaid or postpaid.
- Check the full price and taxes shown at activation.
- Note the expiry date and any auto-renewal rule.
- Check whether minutes are SCOM-family or all-network minutes.
- Take a screenshot of the confirmation message.
- Use the official page again when renewing instead of relying on an old saved image.

SCOM APK login problem
If an already installed SCO Mobile app no longer signs in, the cause may be an outdated app, a retired backend, SIM verification, network timing or a temporary SCO service issue. Reinstalling the same old file from a mirror may not fix a server-side problem.
Try these checks without weakening phone security:
- Set date and time to automatic.
- Put the registered SCOM SIM in the phone.
- Switch once between SCOM mobile data and a trusted Wi-Fi connection.

SCOM APK OTP not received
An OTP can fail because of weak coverage, delayed SMS delivery, an incorrect number, dual-SIM routing or too many requests. Move to a place with a steady SCOM signal and request one fresh code. Use the newest code only.
On a dual-SIM phone, make SCOM the default SIM for SMS temporarily if Android asks. Check blocked-message and spam folders. Do not install an SMS reader or screen-sharing app to “help” with verification. Anyone who asks you to read out the OTP is trying to take control of the session.
If no code arrives after a reasonable wait, contact SCO. Include the time and exact error, but not the OTP itself.
SCOM app not working in AJK or Gilgit-Baltistan
The app and the mobile network are separate. A poor signal, data outage or local coverage gap can stop the app even when its installation is fine. Test a normal website over SCOM data. If nothing loads, focus on connectivity first.
Try airplane mode for 20 seconds, restart the phone and let network selection return to automatic. Avoid manually changing APN values unless SCO support supplies the correct settings. Random APN videos may remove working defaults.
When reporting a local fault, note:
- Your district and nearest town or landmark
- Whether calls, SMS and data are all affected
- When the problem started
- Whether another SCOM phone nearby has the same issue
- The phone model and Android version
This gives support more useful evidence than saying only “internet not working.”
SCOM APK update and old version questions
The verified Play listing showed May 3, 2024 as its last update when checked. Because the listing currently lacks an Install button in our session, we cannot call any mirror file the latest safe build.
An old version may install but still fail because its server endpoints, certificate checks or login flow have changed. It can also miss security fixes. Do not disable Play Protect or grant accessibility access to force it to run.
If SCO republishes the SCOM APK, update through Google Play and confirm package com.sco.app. If a new official package replaces it, SCO should link that package from an sco.gov.pk page. APKWala will update this guide only after verifying the new source.
Package conflict or app not installed error
“App not installed” can mean the downloaded file has a different signature, the device has too little storage or the Android version is incompatible. A signature conflict is especially important: two files may both say SCO Mobile while being signed by different parties.
